🎉 General Information

Q: What time does the dance start and end?
A: Doors open at 6:15PM. Dance is 6:30-8:30PM. 

Q: What is the theme of the dance?
A: Glow/Neon/Black Light

Q: Who can attend the dance?
A: Current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. 

Q: Is there a dress code for the dance?
A: Semi-formal while adhering to school dress code. 

Q: Do I need to bring my student ID to get in?
A: No

Q: Will there be a photographer or photo booth?
A: Photo backdrops for selfies 

Q: Can parents or guardians attend or chaperone?
A: We are always looking for parent volunteers that have a current and approved CCA background check. See volunteer link further down this page.


👗 Dress Code & Theme

Q: What should I wear to match the theme?
A: Semi-formal, fall, jewel-tone attire.

Q: Are costumes allowed?
A: No. No masks, hoods or facial coverings. 

Q: Are there any clothing items that are not allowed?
A: No costumes or facial coverings. Follow CCA dress code - no ripped jeans, no midriff, no mini skirts.

Q: Do I have to dress up, or can I wear casual clothes?
A: You do not need to dress up. Come as you are. 

Q: Will there be a prize for best outfit or theme-related costume?
A: No


🍕 Food & Drinks

Q: Will there be food, snacks or refreshments available?
A: One slice of pizza and a drink will come included with your ticket. Additional concessions and extra slices of pizza (subject to availability) will be available for purchase. 

Q: Do I need to bring money for food or drinks?
A: If you would like to purchase extra pizza or concessions. 

Q: Can I bring my own food or drinks?
A: Please email pto@carolinacharter.org if there is a specific need.

Q: Will there be decorations or a photo backdrop?
A: Yes. Autumn themed. 

Q: Is there a raffle, contest, or special performance?
A: No. 

Q: Will there be a coat check area?
A: No.

Q: Are there volunteer or setup opportunities for students or parents?
A: Yes, see further down this page for our volunteer sign up.

Q: How can I get involved in planning the next dance?
A: Parents can join the PTO or contact us at PTO@carolinacharter.org to become more involved!

🎟️ Tickets & Entry

Q: How much are tickets?
A: $10

Q: Where and when can I buy tickets?
A: Online or at the door at the dance. 

Q: Can I buy tickets at the door?
A: Yes

Q: What if I lose my ticket?
A: We will have a list of student names that have purchased tickets. 

Q: Are tickets refundable or transferable?
A: Not transferable. If a refund is needed, email pto@carolinacharter.org. Refunds must be requested in writing 48 hours before the event. 

Q: Do I need a permission slip to attend?
A: No


💃 Music & Entertainment

Q: What kind of music will be played?
A: Today’s hits and DJ will take requests. 

Q: Can students request songs ahead of time or during the dance?
A: Songs can be requested during the dance. 

Q: Will there be games or other activities besides dancing?
A:Not at this event. 


🧍 Rules & Behavior

Q: What are the rules for behavior during the dance?
A: No food or drinks in small gym. Follow CCA conduct rules and expectations. 

Q: What happens if someone breaks the rules?
A: Admin is notified and will address the situation. 

Q: Can students leave and come back?
A: No

Q: Are phones allowed inside the dance?
A: Yes

Q: What safety measures will be in place?
A: Chaperones, PTO staff, and Office McReady

🚗 Transportation & Pickup

Q: How should parents drop off and pick up students?
A: Drop off and pick up will be done using the main lower grade carpool line that goes in front of the school for student safety. 

Q: Where should students wait for pickup after the dance?
A: Inside until students are released for carpool. 

Q: Can I walk home after the dance, or do I need to be picked up?
A: Walkers please notify PTO prior to the dance. Parents are still required to pick up their student(s). Email pto@carolinacharter.org

Q: What happens if my ride is late?
A: Admin will wait with student until the student is picked up by an approved contact. 

 

Staff Appreciation Week
February 9th-13th

Show your favorite teachers and staff some love during this year's Staff Appreciation Week!

 

The PTO will provide a week of gifting and love to the entire CCA Staff.  We encourage you to send notes of affirmation or items from the staff favorites list.  You can also donate directly to the PTO sponsored events by using the donation for to the right.
